Here is something most people never say out loud. The world around us is built to make us sick.
Look at a normal busy week. Meetings stacked back to back. Lunch is white rice and a deep-fried piece of fish, or if it’s Western, a plate of creamy pasta. Dinners run late, with wine you didn’t really need. The airport offers donuts, noodle soup, and simple carbs in every direction. The hotel gym is useless. Sleep is short and the pressure never lets up.
Go along with all of it and you end up tired, heavy and foggy. And here is the part people miss. When your body is out of shape, your mind goes with it. You stop thinking clearly. You run on coffee and willpower until both run out. Most people just accept this as the price of a busy life.
I didn’t.

I spent 30 years in demanding roles, most of it in Asia, with the same pressures as everyone around me. I refused to accept that the job had to cost me my health, so I found my own way. In hotel rooms, in airport terminals, at long business dinners, I worked out what actually keeps you lean, strong and sharp when everything around you pushes the other way.
And it was never only about looking fit. It is about not getting sick. Waking up with energy. Thinking clearly when everyone else is fading.
For years, people have asked me the same question. How do you stay in this kind of shape, with this kind of schedule? I used to answer one person at a time. This is me answering everyone.
Here is what I promise you. I will be specific, and I will be brief. There is so much hype and noise out there that it is genuinely hard to know what works. I spent the years and the money figuring it out. I will just hand you the simple version, so you don’t have to.
I will also call things out. The conference organisers, the buffet chefs, the airlines and the airports feeding millions of hard-working people food that leaves them fat and foggy. They should know better. Part of the job here is to say so, and to show you how to eat around them.
One thing you won’t get is my name or my face. That is on purpose. This is not about me being a personality. It is about the ideas working, no matter who says them.
If you have a demanding life, and you refuse to let it wreck your health, you are one of us.
Let’s get to work.
